About

Welcome to Inky Slate!

My real name’s Rachael. I’m a freelance writer and editor. I’m originally from Liverpool and settled in merry old London.

I’ve recently managed an editorial team of writers and copy-editors, helping to deliver high quality, UX-focused learning materials across a range of tech-related sectors, including Fintech, Digital Marketing, HR and L&D, Data Analysis, Business Analysis, Automotive and Apprenticeships.

Over the years, I’ve helped produce work for many prominent clients, such as CIPD, Google, Ford, Coca-Cola and EY, as well as many small-scale and local enterprises.

Before I got into the edtech sector, I was a digital marketing and comms manager, so I know a thing or two about how creative marketing and the socials look on the other side of the glass…

I’ve also got a degree in English (mostly linguistics-based) and Irish Studies (mostly craic-based), so I know a fair bit about words, too. And craic, naturally.

I enjoy films, tv, theatre and literature whenever I can. I’m also an amiable, well-organised nitpicker, which comes in quite handy for my chosen career path. These things combined probably make me a perfect candidate for your digital or wordy needs.

Get in touch today to see which services I can offer you or your business, and I’ll get back in touch to let you know the craic.
